This unique Gallatin Valley foothill ranch stretches along the renowned Gallatin River for approximately two and one-half miles.


To visit Gallatin River Ranch, take I-90 West out of Bozeman. Drive 18 miles to the Manhattan exit, go through town and cross over the railroad tracks; then turn left on Railroad Ave to Nixon Gulch Road and go 2-1/2 miles to the Gallatin River. Cross over the bridge to our on-site sales office.

Gallatin River Ranch is located in Gallatin County, Montana. Our close proximity to convenient services and extraordinary recreational opportunites makes Gallatin River Ranch an excellent choice for year-round living. We are 22 miles from Bozeman, and only 12 miles from Gallatin Field Airport which is served by Delta, Northwest, Horizon, United and Big Sky Airlines.



The beauty and splendor of Yellowstone National Park is less than a two hour drive from Gallatin River Ranch, and several historic Western towns are nearby. The headwaters of the Missouri River are only 10 miles west, and the northerly flow enters Canyon Ferry Lake with its 76 mile shoreline. Historic Virginia City and Nevada City are just over an hour's drive from the Gallatin River Ranch. The quaint local town of Manhattan is just two miles out our entry, providing quality schools and all the daily services you might need.

Two world famous alpine ski areas are within easy driving distance for world-class skiing.The Big Sky Ski and Summer Resort is only 53 miles (about 1 hour) away, and Bridger Bowl Ski Area is only 35 miles (about 40 minutes) from Gallatin River Ranch.





Summers on Gallatin River Ranch are mostly sunny and mild; winters are crisp and clear with little snow and lots of sunshine. We get minimal precipitation (an average of 14 inches) each year, mostly in spring and summer rains. This unique ranch has virtually every kind of topography imaginable. Such rarities as a natural stone archway, caves and fossil beds bless this property. Many universities have requested permission to study Gallatin River Ranch's phenomenal geological and fossil attributes.

Cottonwoods and willows grow along the Gallatin River and several spring creek areas, while cedar, juniper and some varieties of pine are found on the balance of the ranch. Open, rolling grasslands are part of Gallatin River Ranch. This is a very scenic property having an altogether different beauty than the heavy snow, vertical, alpine setting usually thought of as Montana.
